This three-key model is one of the layouts generated with XPAD Controller Factory. It can be used as a compact DIY keyboard, macropad, shortcut controller, or a Stream Deck-style control device. The enclosure uses a screwless assembly and supports multicolor printing. A controller board is not included. You can use a Raspberry Pi Pico, another compatible development board, or your own controller and firmware. The switches can be connected by soldering. When using this method, the complete switch modules do not need to be installed, leaving more space for wiring and soldering.

XPad is a project we’ve invested massive time developing exclusively for 3D printing hobbyists. It also acts as an embedded learning platform built around Raspberry Pi Pico for the AI age. If DIY controllers interest you, head over to xtiaconfiger.com’s XPad page to learn more. (Pre-launch on crowdfunding channel underway.)

VIBE-CADING — A tool for AI-assisted OpenSCAD modelling 🔗 vibecading.net | GitHub Trying to get an AI to generate or edit OpenSCAD files? The biggest problem is that AI can't "see" your model — so descriptions like "the top face" or "that edge" are just guesses. VIBE-CADING lets you click on faces and edges in a 3D browser viewer, label them, and export a JSON file with exact geometry data (normals, coordinates, dimensions). Feed that JSON to your AI alongside the .scad file — now it knows exactly what you're referring to. The tool also renders and reloads your .scad automatically in the browser, so it doubles as a lightweight viewer without needing a local OpenSCAD install. ⚠ Still experimental — the annotation workflow and AI prompt format need more work. Not guaranteed to save time yet, but worth trying if you're already using AI for SCAD. Works best paired with an IDE Agent (e.g. Trae is a lightweight option). We're sharing this early because we'd love feedback from the community. The tool is fully open-source, and we've set up a server so you can try it instantly — no setup needed, just click the link. Any thoughts, ideas, or criticism welcome. 🙏
