Bio
Welcome to my profile! My name is Benny. I am an electronic engineer with experience in mechanical engineering from working in plastic pipe manufacturing. I specialize in CAD design using SolidWorks and Fusion 360. I run a 3D printing service where I mainly reverse engineer broken or obsolete parts and design new prototypes for clients.

DIY Bambu X1C/P1S/P2S Chamber Heater Automation (n8n + Tuya + MQTT) 🔥🤖
I built a “set-and-forget” chamber heater workflow for my Bambu Lab X1C using n8n, a Tuya smart plug, and the printer’s built-in MQTT status.
It automatically:
Turns the heater ON only when needed
Holds until the chamber is warm (when configured)
Turns the heater OFF when the chamber hits target or the print ends
Helps avoid the classic “left the heater running overnight” safety worry
This is mainly for ABS/ASA (and other warp-prone filaments) where stable chamber temps help a lot — especially on tall / high wall-count parts.
📌 Setup guide + importable n8n workflow JSON:

Slicer note:
OrcaSlicer works best because it supports chamber temp + “hold until reached”
Bambu Studio / Bambu Slicer needs a small Start G-code tweak (included in the repo)
If anyone tries it, keen to hear what heater + placement you’re using and what chamber temps you’re running for ABS/ASA.
