what a cool design and fun build! I printed with wood pla, silk gold and silver, metallic bronze and matte orange for the cockpit.

awesome print. I printed in Bambu pla silk silver, pla wood and used blue abs for the wiring. I weathered it with a spritz of black and brown rustoleum and detailed with black stain.

I wanted to make a soap dish using the following parameters: 1- minimal surface area to surface below. This will allow the dish to stay dry and will allow it to last longer. 2- concave area to hold soap in place. 3- minimal surface area to soap while still able to hold it until it is very small. 4- draining feature 5- minimalist 6- low filament usage/fast print mission accomplished.

I used some quick set epoxy to set the tassels and found a simple key ring file to connect them to the knives.

Not getting hair down your shower drain is great but cleaning it out of the trap is disgusting. So I made one out of biodegradable PLA that uses minimal filament and no supports. My criteria for this drain were: ~20 minute print time < $0.10 usd filament cost No supports necessary Stackable Let me know what you think

Eclipse is a 3D-printed sculptural light that blends brutalist form with celestial elegance. Designed around a minimal arch and centered orb, the lamp evokes the quiet drama of an eclipse—its integrated LED ring casting a soft, radiant glow that frames the matte-textured sphere. The LED is embedded into the arch and diffused through a printed translucent PETG channel for a smooth even light. Entirely printed aside from the LED, Eclipse celebrates precision, material honesty, and a modular spirit

if you print the tight tolerance one I’d recommend getting it hot off the plate to break the tension. I waited too long and had to use a pair of pliers but it works great! I make a lot of frames and will use this regularly to mark for corner dowels.

overall works well and feels good in the hand. I printed 5 at once by object on one plate and I only broke one of them 🙂. I used petgcf for the body and petg translucent for the crown and button. I would recommend using a deburring tool to clean up the opening for the bolt action mechanism and use a driver or file to operate the pen a number of times to ‘wear it in a bit’ before putting together. Doing these will keep you from applying too much pressure when trying to operate the first time.

My daughter’s friend did a report on the human brain and I printed this for her. super cool. pulling the supports felt like performing a lobotomy!

Such a cool model. you know it’s good design when it still looks cool even after you fat finger a couple parts putting it together. It takes longer to print but is so much more fun to put together than a dummy 13.

scaled to 119% to perfectly fit a 300mm strap. I might try just scaling on the z axis next time I do this to save on filament. it’s a very robust design but I wonder if lower gyroid infill would save filament and maintain Omni-directional strength?

My daughter asked if we could make something for her math teacher who likes dnd so I went a little overboard. I cant wait to see it printed in all different colors with different types of infill!
