Description

This is an old 3D-printable model of my brain from a MRI scan I had done at the age of 18.

It's scaled down to 50% for anyone curious about a full sized model.

Getting the MRI scan into a clean and printable 3D model was a lot of fun work and even though it somehow feels personal, having my brain as a trophy on someones shelf and even used by some teachers for biology classes is so cool!

Anyway, if you're feeling generous, any feedback or even just a like is super appreciated! :)

Printing Tips (if you want to slice the file for yourself):

  • Use Tree Supports: Believe me, I tried a lot for this print and tree is best for the organic shape
  • Recommended Layer Height: [I would suggest the adaptive layer height setting at the top row of Bambu Studio], 0.12 gives a nice finish but takes a long time
  • Infill: 15-20% should be fine, adaptive Cubic is recommended since some parts could start in the air if you don't check beforehand.
  • Material: Light filaments, matte or any particle filament like marble , any GF or CF filaments work best to hide the bottom breakaway! [I mostly use matte PLA]

If you print it, feel free to share your results!
