I have a proposal. What if you print the body of the slider base down with a bit of the end chopped off. Then, next to it the body, print the sliding thing that you slide with, meaning that you can have it a different colour for the slider. The there is a cap that clips onto the end of the body. This means that the base who you slide the slider will be smoother, and the slider can be a different colour.
