Printing for fun and work. Got a printer end of 2024. And now I'm learning to use CAD software again. Most of my designs use Freecad, so I can tweak and update them if needed. For added logos, I clean them with "GIMP" and create SVG files with Inkscape.

I wanted a simple cover for the pipe. This to make it looking more clean and not having water splashing into the pass through hole.

A friend of mine has a Staffordshire Bull Terrier (that she obviously adores 😊).
Saw a few using dogs as phone stands, so asked Google Gemini to create a picture of a staffordshire phone stand, that could be used in makerlab.
And then used makerlab ImageTo3D. “Powered by MakerWorld-Image-to-3D (https://makerworld.com/makerlab/imageTo3d”
Tuned the layer heights and sent to print. It came out well, so I thought I could share it.

I like using my coffee jars for storing my coffee beans. But sometimes some beans escapes when I want to shake out the last beans from the bag. Not a mayor problem, but nice to be able to design an 3d printed fix in Freecad 😊
I recommend to print with a brim, my first attemp failed on my P1S, so added a small brim (and cleaned the plate)

My Brita water filter seems to always drip slightly when I fill it. This the is not good for my wooden table.
So I wanted a coaster for the water filter, so designed one quickly in Freecad.
This is why we love to have a printer at home 😊
See a problem and work on a solution. This should help protect the table when I restore it (again) 🙃

Been thinking about print in place fidget designs for a while now.
Wanted to see if this could be modeled in freecad. With the add-in “Pyramids and polyhedrons” it was a quick job 🥳

Almost a year ago I started my modelling with some fidgets.
Now I was curious trying to do a combination of a spinner and a slider and do this as a learning test for the tolerances of my printers.
The sliding function released quite easy. The spin function loosened also quite easily for me. This with Sunlu PLA+ filament and standard parameters on a PS1.

I wanted more consistent result in my laser engraver (Atomstack Dual kraft).
So I designed a fixture for 6 openers of this type:
https://www.amazon.se/dp/B0DF5LRK59
I really like the result, I also did a matching template file as SVG in lightburn, but I couldn't upload that, so converted to a DXF file (and have tested to import it into lightburn)

I usually keep the USB dongle for my Logitech M705 in my work laptop.
But in one trip the dongle got badly bent. I missed taking a photo of it, because the IT department replaced it.
But that got me thinking, so I designed a small design to hinder the dongle to getting stuck in things in my bag.
I did a test print for both TPU for AMS and PLA. Both had a good fit on my M705 dongle. PLA and TPU as separate plates in the print profile.

Printed well. a little bit tight on the clip, so you need to remove the pen carefully (otherwise the bambu can snap)

I needed a medium shelf to store a number of small things near my Atomstack laser.
So I designed a suitable version in Freecad.
It is 150 mm wide and 100 mm deep.
The supports easily got off with the settings I used.

Brilliant idea, redesigned the piece that attached to the chuck to fit my atomstack. Picture of result since the in action shot was just a video 🙂.

I wanted something to restrain material in my laser engraver/cutter Atomstack Dual kraft.
I looked up existing magnet models, but they didnt use the magnet sizes (Ø10x2.2 mm) that I had available.
So I designed something simple in Freecad
The design works both with the honeycomb and the securing rails to the conveyor feeder.
If you have magnetic materials in your bed in your machine it should work on other machines. Potentially also if 3D printing on clothes or doing cricut designs.
