I wanted to share my design for the Easter 3D print challenge. I needed a simple sign for an easter display for a community group. It needed to be durable and neutral as they plan on reusing it each year. I used Tinkercad for the design as I was short on time and ensured the letter spacing meant they were all attached. I used the oval shape to attach the ears and attached them to the letter 'e'. I've seen lots of photos enhanced by AI and I only have a cheap phone and poor lighting at my house so I have trialled an AI enhance background for this model to see how it performs on MakerWorld. https://makerworld.com/en/models/2540279-happy-easter-sign#profileId-2796673 #Contests #Easter2026

Can anyone share a print they have made using PLA translucent? I want to see what people are using it for before getting any. Thanks #Questions

Its World Bee Day (May 20) and I created this little zen garden for my kids and thought I would share it with other bee lovers. You'll need some sand and some bees of your choice.

My kids want to do some markets so I designed this little display shelf for them. I think they are going to have few of these with their small models and keep the rest under the desk and top them up. We printed some mushroom ones and are making plain black ones now so showcase some models more.

I made a little set of garden tools for the kids bonsai/fairy gardens today. Thought I would share in case anyone else is interested. I uses the new tinkercad sketch feature and was really impressed with it and now can see how to use it for future models.

#How My Models Get Pics I only have a cheap android camera and a house with very poor lighting so I use a mini light box to help improve my model pics. This one was AU$10 from Coles Australia and came with plain backgrounds but I have printed some free ones from Pexels.com. I just purchased a ring light for Au$30 from Kmart to help with bigger models. Then I use Canva to help fix up the pictures, usually just the auto edit. I like to use background and props because I think they are fun but I know makerworld suggests plain backgrounds. Here is a link to my scenery collection if anyone prints cute animals https://makerworld.com/@Clare3D/collections/6138536-fun-photo-scenery

I've ordered some spare build plates for my A1 and A1 mini (because I am too impatient to wait for the plate to fully cool before I start a new print) and now I need a way to store the plates on this bench top but I need the stand to suit A1 and A1 mini size. Has anyone printed anything to suit both that they can share the link for? Thanks #Questions

I recreated one of my favourite childhood fidget toys (before fidgets were cool) that I used to buy from school fairs here, although they were made from wood. You buy it plain and get to decorate it with pens to make cool designs or colour blend effects when it spins. But it does take some skill! My kids and I find them so easy to spin but have found that not everyone is up for the challenge! If you have 16 grams of filament and a 90cm piece of string/twine or rope give it a go and report back on if you can get it to spin! A super cool fact about them - they are being made from cardboard and used in poor countries to help separate blood samples https://www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-research-matters/low-cost-hand-powered-paper-centrifuge
Can you get it to spin?

Thought I would try something different for the Benchy competition. The kids had fun making and eating from the boat!

Just wanted to share my excitement at getting 3rd place in the cardboard spool competition. Don't let lack of skills hold you back! This was all made in Tinkercad and printed on my A1mini in my first month of Learning as I am very much a beginner designer. #Sharing Makes #A1 Group

My new A1 combo arrived in 2.5 days here in Australia. Thanks to anyone who downloaded or boosted my models and helped me earn it. I'm excited to design things bigger than 18cm!

Hi I just wanted to share a little progress report for people starting out here and feeling frustrated their posts aren't being seen or they aren't getting many downloads. I started here in January and decided I would try to enter as much as I could with the goal of earning a new printer to upgrade my A1 mini (that I won in a photo comp on patreon last year) by June. Well I ordered that new printer yesterday! Just wanted to say don't worry about followers or lack of reponses in the community tab and just keep going designing and adding models and you never know when you'll be successful. My entry that was awarded oustanding entry in the design competition I created knowing it was to suits the competition criteria and unlikely to be downloaded or popular and I am really pleased to have been given a prize. Check it out here if you like: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1250089-future-cities-rocket-house#profileId-1272452 #Milestone(Edited)

I cut all the nerves in my thumb in February removing supports from a print with a craft knife that slipped so I designed this to help open keyrings up :)

I designed this balloon knotter after a range of prototyping and thought I would share :) Saves having sore fingers if you have lots of balloons to tie.

#sharing makes I designed these for my young son who likes to build lego but needs help finding the parts. I help by getting the next 8 steps pieces ready so he can build.

Just thought I would share my entry into the reusable spools contest. It won't get many downloads because its too many plates and is just a kids toy, but my kids loved making and playing with it. #Sharing Makes #Turn Trash into Treasure(Edited)
