Instructional designer by day, tinkerer by night... My first 3D printer was something I built using wood, kite string and some bearings from an old printer. Had to program it using g-code and tweak for every print. The world and technology has changed since then, but the concept is still the same. The more you do, the better you understand, and the more you can develop... Most of my hobbies require sharp things, wood turning, furniture building, model making, CNC, laser, metalwork, anything I can play and be creative with.
