How to do more than 4 colors on a single AMS?

To use more than 4 colors with a single AMS is pretty simple when it comes to HueForges.

Always start the print from either Bambu Studio or Bambu Handy App - This will allow you to map the rolls of filaments to a certain slot in the AMS:

Now map the first 4 colors (which should already be inserted in the AMS to Slots 1 - 2 - 3 - 4
Once thats done move to maping colors 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 to respectively AMS Slots 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 again!

This will allow you to Change the rolls of filament once the printer is done with that color.
For example, in the picture above once we are done with the Black color (Which is usually first) we are going to remove the black roll (you can do that while printing) with White, then once Charcoal Black is done we are going to change that to Red, Dark Gray to Yellow and we are done. ~ You can do that with as many colors as you need!

Love it. I had no mint green and went with 3 shades of blue instead.

My mint green filament hadnt arrived by the time I printed, so I used a "light green" filament that i actually kind of like the aesthetic of. I also think that the shade of red was on the darker side, and i absolutely love how it turned out in the background. One of my all time favorite prints

I dont think your description of how the colours work here are right considering you have to use black twice. Im assuming you leave black in A1 all through the print and re jig the later colours to White A2, red A3 and yellow A4.

The colors are correct. The black is there to create a darker shadow behind other color.

Your answer does not make sense with my question, or are you saying my color numbers are correct. I’m not questioning as to why black is used twice.

Black remains you change the other slots when the time comes. I think this is self explanatory.

I am printing it on a bigger printer in order to keep the painting 256x256. Do you own a bigger printer? (at least 300x300)

The print came out beautifully, even if my fingerprint caused the bottom-right corner to lift! I used the following filaments: BL PLA basic black BL PLA basic cobalt blue BL PLA basic cyan BL PLA Silk+ Baby blue BL PLA basic white BL PLA basic red BL PLA basic yellow. The Silk+ baby blue gives a reflective highlight to the wave foam which I like. Liked, collected, already following, and boosted. Thank you!
