Curly Fries 3D Printing News Post Special Report #1: The X2D is here! Dual Nozzle, cool intake similar to the one on the P2S, air filtration, active chamber heating, 256² by 260(height) bed, AI monitoring, fairly similar interior to the P1S. The price? I was expecting around $1,000, but for the printer woth the AMS, it is only $900 dollars! For a dual nozzle Bambu Lab printer! Without the AMS, it is only $650. Honestly, why buy the P2S at this point? Only $100 dollars more, with lots more features.#News #3Dpn Update: It has hollow steel rods instead of Carbon ones, which should be easier to clean. It has new belts precision belts, which should lower vertical fine artifacts. Bed temp of 120°C. Left hotend is direct drive, but the right is purely Bowden feed, similar to the Ender 3. This will increase print time, and cause it to print slightly less quality parts(mainly more stringing) Also, one nozzle can print the full build plate size, but the other one has about 20 millimeters on the side cut off, similar to the H2D.(Edited)

Curly Fries' 3D Printing News #2
Curly Fries' 3D Printing News #2
In this article: Bambu Lab X2D coming this April?   Flashforge's incredible full color resin printer.  What exactly do the potential 3D printing regulations do?  Flashforge toolchanger: Save $150, only $649!?    Hey everyone! Welcome to my 2nd official 3D Printing news post! Since the first one, Makerworld starting doing weekly roundups. Because of these news posts? Probably not, but I can't help but wonder. Anyways, lets get on with it!    First off, @3dPrinterMike on Youtube claims that a source of his confirmed the rumored upcoming X2D will be released next month, in April. Leaked images show it having a dual nozzle toolhead, similar to the H2D. X2D makes the most sense for a name, X for the X series, 2 for it being the second “generation”, and D, for it being dual nozzle. Basically a shrunk down H2D. I would expect it to be between the price of the P2S and the H2S(roughly $1000), or about the same price of the H2S. Important to note that the April release date is according to a claimed source. I would like to point out that the H2D was released in April.     Now, to something I haven't seen many talk about, but that I consider could potentially be one of the most influential milestones in 3D printing history: The upcoming, confirmed,  Flashforge CJ270. Boring name, I know, but I think that being able to print in 10,000,000 colors makes up for it. You read that right, 10 million. The CJ270 is a resin 3D printer, and would be the world's first full-color 3D printer. Now, it is important to note that I expect some catch or something with an asterisk were the 10,000,000 claim is slightly misleading. But still, a multicolor resin printer? With water soluble supports? Sounds awesome to me. This was actually announced in late 2024, with plans to release it on Kickstarter in mid-2025, but did get delayed.    Now, a brief word on the proposed 3D printing regulations that some states have introduced legislation for, or at least discussed it. Briefly talked about this in the first article, and I plan to give it it's own article on it soon. But what the legislation/discussions call for in Colorado, New York, California, and Washington is for printers and their related software(including slicers), to be equipped with scanning technology. These would scan for gun related parts. California goes a step farther, calling for a state run list of printer models they approve. The major concern, aside from the potential breach of the second amendment, is false readings, and the potential for later adding more restrictions.    Lastly, Flashforge's Creator 5 can now be reserved.  The typical price? $799, which is still insane for a toolchanger, cheaper than the Snapmaker U1. But for just ten dollars down, you only pay $649! Great deal if you ask me.   Special thanks to all those “subscribed”.   Sorry this was late. I will not be able to do the Friday posts for a couple weeks, so I figured Thursday posts would be fine for now. Thanks for reading! Sources X2D:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPqwiNV27s8https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/1plumvo/possible_x2dc_and_upcoming_accessories_leak_in/Flashforge CJ270: https://www.flashforge.com/pages/cj270?customer_posted=true#newsletter-template--19880899149902__sz-v2-cj270-bannerhttps://all3dp.com/4/flashforge-aiming-to-launch-worlds-first-desktop-full-color-3d-printer-in-2025/Printing regulations: Varying, will be included in a specific article Flashforge Creator 5: https://www.flashforge.com/pages/creator-5-launch

Curly Fries' 3D Printing News #1
Curly Fries' 3D Printing News #1
Sorry for the delay, welcome to my first official 3D Printing News Roundup! Plan is to do one post every Monday, Friday, and maybe a “Special Report” every once in a while on major topics. We will cover printer specific news, as well as one example of 3D printing being implemented in the world. In today's article, we cover some Bambu Lab leaks, Flashforge toolchanger, Colorado joining 3 other states in 3D printing regulation, and finally Ford using 3D printing to save money. Links to sources will be included at the end. First of all, some Bambu Lab news. Many have probably seen the leaked images of a new dual-hotend toolhead, potentially for the rumored X2D/X2C(next printers for the X series), but one that seems to have gone under the radar is a dual toolhead A1 mini patent from a few months ago. Now, the way the patent is worded says nothing about a new printer, simply about assigning different materials to different toolheads. But could the next iteration for the A series have dual toolheads?  Secondly, and this is semi old news, but I haven't seen much talk about this, is the upcoming Flashforge toolchanger. Patents show 6 toolheads, and the leaked images we have show the same. The name will be the Creator 5(looks like it is unenclosed), and the Creator 5 Pro(fully enclosed). Given Flashforge is typically more of a budget friendly printer brand, the price will for sure be cheaper that most toolchangers, and could compete with the Snapmaker U1. Rumors have the printers coming out/being announced in April. Next up is what I find to be the more interesting 3D printing news as of late. Colorado lawmakers have introduced a new bill, that would add surveillance of 3D printers, specifically for printing gun parts. 3 other states, Washington, New York, and California have also recently done the same. The worry here is not necessarily about the banning of printing gun parts, but more the fact that it is a foothold into controlling what we can and can't print. “Give them and inch, and they will walk all over you” as the saying goes. I am also worried if false scans, where potentially airsoft, Nerf, or gun replicas could potentially set it off. I will probably make a post specifically about these bans.  And lastly, Ford(the motor company) used 3D printed parts for testing the aerodynamics of an upcoming 2027 truck.  With 3D printing, they were able to adjust slight measurements and angles to improve the aerodynamics, which they tested using a wind tunnel. This is a great example of how 3D printing can revolutionize how companies prototype designs.  Thanks for ready, next news article will come out Friday! If you have any suggestions of what you want to be included, please comment! SourcesBambu Lab leaks: X2D/X2C: https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/1plumvo/possible_x2dc_and_upcoming_accessories_leak_in/Dual Toolhead A1 Mini(?):  https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/1ood5e9/bambu_lab_filed_patent_for_assigning_materials_to/Flashforge toolchangers:Leaked image: https://www.reddit.com/r/FlashForge/comments/1qjppt5/flashforge_creator_5_multi_print_head_leak/Patent: https://www.3printr.com/flashforge-is-working-on-a-patented-tool-changer-system-for-waste-free-multi-material-3d-printing-3084764/Colorado Ban:https://www.tomshardware.com/3d-printing/colorado-could-ban-3d-printers-not-under-its-surveillance-to-prevent-creating-gun-parts-fourth-state-to-propose-new-bans-is-expanding-firearms-laws-to-regulate-digital-files Ford using 3D printing: https://all3dp.com/6/3d-printing-speeds-fords-push-for-a-30000-electric-pickup/

Hello Makerworld Community! I plan on doing 3D printing news posts probably every other day, as I don't want to post too often. Now I need a name... preferably better than 3D Printing News(3DPN), although I don't mind the acronym. Feel free to list ideas in the comments, thanks! First official post will be tomorrow, probably around 10PM. #News #Questions

#News For those who haven't heard, production for the P1P has officially stopped. Software updates will continue Till November 2027, then sale of spare parts ends in February or 2031. Wonder if this means the P1S will also stop being produced soon, given they share most of the same parts. https://blog.bambulab.com/a-farewell-to-p1p/(Edited)

CoPrint just announced a new printer, the Quadro. Looks a lot like the A1, wirh one massive change: 4 toolheads! Price is not known yet, but on one of the graphs on their website it does show it will be less than the Snapmaker U1, which is $999. I hope that Bambu Lab is working on their own version of this, I do remember seeing a Reddit leak of a patent filed by Bambu Lab that showed an A1 Mini with two toolheads. You can currently reserve a spot to buy it for $20, the price will be announced when it goes up on Kickstarter. https://coprint3d.com/products/co-print-quadro-3d-printer-reservation #Newprinter#News(Edited)

Thank you for 150 followers! I am also nearing 1,000 downloads, and 400 prints! Thank you for everyone who has supported me in the past year. Now, a quick update on one of my upcoming models. My Water Resistant Modular Storage Box will sadly be delayed, due to life stuff, and me just being busy these next few months. At this point, I may even try to make it a crowdfunding project, as now the vision has expanded to different sizes, heights, low filament versions, and more. I can't promise a date at this time though as to when it will be released sadly. Also, due to a pretty nasty hull/cooling line, that weakens the hinge part, I have lots of waste from it... My solution will be to separate the hinge, and use a dovetail as a connector(maybe even allow different hinge designs that could use different 3d printed pegs or screws).(Edited)

New Christmas themed pfp! Also, quick update on my Modular Water-resistant Resistant Storage Box. I have been experiencing some issues with a "hull line" appearing at a spot that weakens the hinge, so currently trying a few different things to decrease/get rid of it. It will probably be a couple more weeks, my goal is to have it done by the 20th.

This is a great model! Printed for my P1S, this fits it well, not just the P2S. I printed it in Elegoo PETG Basic, printed well, fast, and love how it barely uses any filament. I have printed a couple other clips, but didn't like them for varying reasons. This however clips on well, hold the PTFE tubing well, and seems pretty durable. 10/10, going to print a couple more!

#Myusername I am CurlyFries because one of my friends gave me the nickname a couple years ago, due to my curly hair and love of Arby's Curly Fries. Now that is my username on games and other websites. Update on my Water Resistant Modular Storage Box(formerly was just a tackle box): I have started printing the parts, and making some small changes to the tolerances. Still hope to have it released by Saturday! There will be a shorter main compartment profile coming out a few days after that, then a pocket version, and possibly an A1 mini version.#Comingsoon #Newmodel(Edited)

Does anyone else pull an all nighter, or at least stay up really late, to finish a CAD project, or is it just me? Anyways, my Water Resistant, Modular Storage Box will hopefully be done in a few hours, then onto test printing small chunks, to check tolerances, so I don't waste 800 grams of filament right off the bat. It features a TPU seal, fully modular interior, from 32 compartments, to 17, to 1, and everything in-between. This was originally just going to be a tackle box, but it evolved. If everything goes well, it will hopefully be out next Saturday!
Have you every stayed up late/ pulled an all nighter to finish a CAD project?
