Print in place Stackable 2.5-inch HDD case

This is a storage box for 2.5-inch hard drive.

It can print in place, with grooves on bottom for stacking.

This is an iteration of the 3.5-inch hard drive storage box. 

Because someone requested a 2.5-inch version, this model was created.

It can be stacked for storage,

or it can be stacked with the 3.5-inch hard drive box I made.

To allow the smaller box to stack with the larger 3.5-inch box, the bottom groove of the small box has to match the raised part of the 3.5-inch hard drive box.

However, this part is not centrally placed. So, if you want two small boxes stacked on top of a larger box as shown in the picture,。

then you may need to print two different versions separately.

And due to the change in the orientation of the raised part, additional support is needed. I have made one that is included in the model, and it can be easily removed after printing。

2.5-inch hard drives actually come in many different thicknesses. I only have one kind on hand, but according to relevant search results, there may be 12mm thick 2.5-inch hard drives.

So, I made it very deep to fit as many sizes as possible.

I did not make any internal components for this small box, as I think users can easily adjust its depth using a modifier.

Note:

Because the protruding part of the lid is relatively small, it won't close as tightly as the 3.5-inch storage box. 

Over time, due to wear, it may not keep the lid tightly closed.

plate1: fits the left side of the 3.5-inch hard drive storage box

plate2: fits the right side of the 3.5-inch hard drive storage box

plate3: insert that fits the 3.5-inch hard drive storage box, allowing you to use the 3.5-inch hard drive storage box to store a 2.5-inch hard drive.
