Description
OpenSpool Mini
Universal RFID reader for Bambu/Prusa/Creality Printers
The OpenSpool Team is proud to present the OpenSpool Mini. Your filament wants to be free.
How it works
1. Attach NTAG-215 NFC stickers to all your filament
2. Touch the NFC sticker to the RFID reader
3. Your printer will automatically be updated with the filament color/type/temperatures
OpenSpool Breaks free from the walled gardens that Bambu and Creality have created. It allows you to use any filament on any printer (support still in progress).
Hardware
You will need an esp32 and a PN532 RFID reader. The schematics are open source and [available on github](https://github.com/spuder/OpenSpool).
PCBs and complete [Kits are available on Tindie.com](https://www.tindie.com/products/spuder/openspool-mini/)

FAQ
Will a Bambu AMS read an OpenSpool Tag?
No Bambu AMS will only read Bambu signed tags. The OpenSpool reader acts as a 3rd party RFID reader to support all other brands of filament.
