Earplug Box Case

This is my remix of Defiant's box. I didnt have a ball catch, and his was too small for my earplugs. So I took the base file, filled the catch and screw holes, upsized 25%, and made holes for neodymium magnets!

The magnets get superglued in the lid and case, they are offset so it helps snap and hold the case closed. The M3X12 screw is there just for a pivot point.

I used a small teflon washer under my screw, not needed, but it makes it smoother.

I have included the Fusion 360 and STEP files for your remixing pleasure. The files have an odd 1 later thick part over the M3 screw hole that I couldnt get rid of, but it slices fine as you can see.

Magnets are 8mm diameter and 3mm thick.

Print in the orientation they load in, I made the lid magnet holes a little deeper to account for the filament droop inside them when bridging over the top.

I added my logo by using it as a mesh modifier in PrusaSlicer, import as modifier, scale, and select a second tool. Easily add your own logo to it the same way!

Print instructions

I Printed the base at 0.3 with a 0.6 nozzle, PLA, standard temps. The lid I printed at 0.2 just for smoother detail on the top edges.
