Description

This is a custom 3D-printed Zippo shell inspired by the GoPro action camera — a playful twist that turns your lighter into a miniature adventure cam. Designed in Fusion 360, the case captures the clean, rugged look of a GoPro, complete with the lens housing, mounting frame, and compact body details.

Use & Function:
Swap your Zippo’s metal insert into this GoPro-style shell, and you’ve got a lighter that looks like it’s ready to record your next adventure. It’s a perfect EDC collectible for designers, makers, or anyone who loves turning everyday objects into conversation starters.

Originality & Essence:
This design fuses action camera aesthetics with vintage Zippo functionality, creating something truly unique. It’s a nod to both creativity and curiosity — taking something made to capture fire and reimagining it as something made to capture life.

Inspiration:
Inspired by the GoPro’s tough, minimal design and its association with adventure and creativity. I wanted to design something that felt like it belongs on a mountaintop or a desk equally well.

Context & Limitations:

Designed to fit standard Zippo lighter inserts

Recommended material: PLA+ or PETG for strength and detail

Not intended for real video recording (sadly 😅)

Avoid prolonged direct exposure to flame
