Description
Cloudspire is an awesome game, but I found the original counters a bit tricky to adjust on the neoprene mat. To address this, I designed a new counter about a year ago.
With the release of the latest expansion, I decided to revisit the design and create an updated version featuring several improvements.
What’s new in this version
- Improved number readability, especially when printed with a 0.4 mm nozzle
- Cleaner, smoother surface finish
- Removable press-fit pin for easier storage
Printing notes
- Transparent filament is required for this model
- Avoid mixing PLA and PETG in the same print, as they do not bond well together
The press-fit pin uses a 0.1 mm tolerance, which worked perfectly in my tests. Depending on your printer, you may need to slightly adjust XY Hole/Contour compensation (see your printer’s documentation).
The final surface finish depends heavily on the build plate used. Personally, I really like the results achieved with holographic build plates.
