Great model! Lots of Fun! I used the tiny hair rubber bands and they work amazing since they are small and very stretchy. Since I used the textured heat bed I had to sand off the texture side of the magazine to fit correctly or else it gets stuck. I need to print an orange tip for it since it is so realistic. Looking forward to more accessories, possibly more sights?

I suggest you print with colored filament

Probably a good idea. Do you have any other barrel versions or slides with the cut outs?

I printed this but wasn't able to assemble successfully. I am missing the parts that circled. What are those called and where can I get them?

This is the filament ... , the thick one is a rubber tube, which can be printed with TPU, and I see that someone has uploaded a model

It operates smoothly, rubber bands for slingshots are generally hard to obtain, but even without the rubber band magazine installed, it won't fall off.

Yes, it can be played normally by friction.

The color scheme is beautiful, but I wouldn't dare print structural parts with silk filament, the overhangs are prone to failure.

i actually prefer no spring/tube for mag release

I built it. The issues I've come across are: A. The back of the slide is very weak, broke during assembly. Should add supports to the interior. B. The rubber band for the slide is near impossible to assemble, I could only get it on one time and it popped off first shot. C. The rubber band in the magazine doesn't have a big enough channel so it gets bound up. A little silicone lubricant helps but it still binds once tension is released. I really like that you can use filament instead of screws to lock all of the components together, and the build looks very slick. All in all I give it 4 stars, but would get 5 if the rubber bands were a bit easier to assemble.

Thanks for the comment, you can try PETG printing, it will be much stronger. Also, you can take a look at my assembly video, there is a simple way to install the rubber band. Finally, I'm already thinking about strengthening the sliding sleeve.

Thanks! I'll attempt with CF petg because I have some in green I'm eager to use, once that's updated. As for the video, the link doesn't work whenever I copy/paste it into my browser. I'm in the US. Are you able to upload to YouTube?

I used these tiny little hair rubber bands and they worked great they almost look like the colorful ones that go on braces. No rubber tube either but it can still work without. My magazine got stuck too but I figured it was the textured heat bed that caused it so I sanded off that layer and it slid right in. That white on black looks great!

little sanding does wonders for it. I sanded down where the barrel goes into the grip, the catch for the mag, the mag, the pin holding the barrel into the grip. not much, just a little.

first print got some spaghetti. not sure if it's filament's problem. and some bridging areas seemed need support. reprinted one added some supports and worked well. Excellent toy!

ah, I think I know why I had spaghetti. it's actually due to the video recording. I usually send printing from my phone but I sent one job via my laptop yesterday and checked video recording before sending. then a warning popped up about video recording might affect print quality. I searched and found it's not just myself having that issue. there was an adjustment could be made but I could not find it.

printed with PLA and both prints were kinda bad, parts are made to be almost same size so they does t fit, parts are easily breaking :/ ended up throwing parts away. cant give 4 or 5 as it was unusable :( sorry, but for me it was bad print. Even tried to glue some parts after breaking, but no help.

This is incredibly fun, thank you for sharing! For those who don't have printed dowels, I recommend using toothpicks - they are a perfect fit.

No need to print the connector, simply insert the filament directly.
