Sphere

This is a simple printable sphere that can be used as a template/base for dorodango making (shiny mud balls). It is not only useful as a dorodango tool, but also a nice model of a perfect sphere on its own.

• Printing recommendation:
  • Use an interface material for easy separation:
    • If printing in PLA, use PETG as interface.
    • If printing in PETG, use PLA as interface.
• Scaling:
  • The model can be freely scaled in your slicer to create different sphere sizes.
• Post-processing:
  • After printing, the bottom may need slight trimming with a knife for best roundness.
  • The surface can also be ground/sanded if a smoother finish is desired.
• Extra note:
  • When printed entirely in PETG, the sphere can also serve as a simple bouncing ball.

This model is not meant as a finished display piece, but as a tool/template to help you shape and polish dorodango spheres more easily — while also standing on its own as a clean, perfectly round 3D print.
