Description

This modular storage system is perfect for hobbyists who need a flexible and scalable solution to store their miniatures. The design allows you to stack the units vertically or horizontally, making it easy to fit into whatever space you have available. Each unit holds miniatures of all sizes, from small figures to larger models like dragons, giving you plenty of options for organizing your collection.

Key Features:

  • Dimensions: Each tray measures 230 x 230 mm, offering plenty of space for even your biggest miniatures.
  • Stackable Design: Whether you want to go tall or wide, these units stack neatly and securely using different clip options.
  • Versatile Clip System:
    • L-shaped clips (MiniatureStorageBracketStandard.stl): Basic corner clips for a clean, sturdy build.
    • T-shaped clips (MiniatureStorageBracketStackingThreeWay.stl): Ideal for stacking sections either vertically or horizontally.
    • X-shaped clips (MiniatureStorageBracketStackingFourWay.stl): Perfect for when you want to stack both vertically and horizontally, giving you even more flexibility.
  • Middle Wall Options:
    • With Supports (MiniatureStorageMidWallSupports.stl): Includes built-in resting plates for easy tray placement.
    • Without Supports (MiniatureStorageMidWallNoTabs.stl): This version lets you manually insert support tabs (MiniatureStorageMidWallTabs.stl) to keep things flexible.
  • Tray Choices:
    • Full Tray (MiniatureStorageDrawerFull.stl): A solid tray that works great for a variety of miniatures, providing sturdy support.
    • Grid Tray (MiniatureStorageDrawerGrid.stl): This tray uses less filament and is ideal for larger bases or if you plan to add magnetic sheets for more stability.

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Print the Parts:
    • Print the side frames, mid-walls, and trays based on your needs. If you're using the mid-wall without built-in supports, don't forget to print the tabs (MiniatureStorageMidWallTabs.stl).
  2. Stacking and Clipping:
    • Use the L-shaped clips at the corners to connect each unit securely.
    • For horizontal or vertical stacking, the T-shaped clips will hold everything in place.
    • If you're going for a more complex configuration, the X-shaped clips let you stack units in both directions.
  3. Tray Installation:
    • Simply slide the trays into place. They're designed to hold anything from your standard infantry to larger miniatures like dragons.
    • If you're planning to use magnets, the Grid Tray is a great option, giving you more flexibility with the bases.
  4. Expand as You Go:
    • The beauty of this design is that you can add more units over time. Just print more sections, clip them together, and you're all set!

This modular storage system is perfect for anyone looking to keep their tabletop miniatures organized, easily accessible, and safe. Whether you're a wargamer or a role-playing enthusiast, this system grows with your collection and adapts to your needs.
