Bar End Plug

A no-support bar end plug for your bicycle!

Update 26-May-2025: Version 2 released! The model now takes advantage of printing with PETG and TPU! There are variants for both an H2D exclusive, and profiles for printing the cap and prongs separately which you'll need to glue together (recommended for X,P, and A series printers).

Recommend using Shore 95A TPU. You can also print with ASA or ABS instead of PETG. The 3mf are set to generics, with the assumption that you'll update them to the print profile of the material and filament manufacturer that you end up using.

Do not use TPU for AMS! The layer adhesion simply isn't strong enough and the prongs will snap off.

Original V1:

There are two sizes:

1. 18mm ID bar end: most handlebars on mountain bikes would have this ID.
2. 7/8" ID bar end with bar tape: most drop bars on road bikes have a 7/8" ID, so this plug is sized for that ID plus room for tucking in the bar tape.

Since this will be outdoors, I would recommend printing in PETG or ASA. While PLA has worked, it isn't really weather resistant.
