Just uploaded my Crystal Flex Dragon! 🐉
It’s a print-in-place articulated dragon with crystal-style scales, flexible movement, and no supports needed. I designed it to be satisfying to pose, flex, and display. Silk or dual-color filament makes it look amazing. I’d love to see your makes, colors, and feedback for the next version!

Print-in-place fabric. Full 256×256 build plate. No supports, no assembly. 🧶
I spent way too long tuning the link geometry to get this to actually *drape* — most fabric prints come out stiff. This one folds, scrunches, and makes a click-scrunch sound that's honestly addictive.
**Print notes:**
• 0.2mm layer height, 2 walls, 15% infill
• PETG > PLA for drape
• Silk filaments = best visual payoff
• Do NOT scale — designed for native size
Video with sound on the listing — that's where the magic is.
Entered in @Stag3D's Spring Play Challenge 🏆 — if you print it, tag me, I want to see your colorways!

🧵 New Drop: Satisfying Fabric — Full Build Plate Edition (256×256mm)Quick story: I kept downloading "satisfying fabric" prints and scaling them up to fill my X2D plate. Every time, the result was disappointing — the links stretched out, the fabric got floppy, and that crispy ASMR click everyone loves just… disappeared. Scaling breaks the physics that make these prints satisfying in the first place. So I designed my own from the ground up — natively at 256×256mm. Link geometry, spacing, and tolerances are all dialed in specifically for full-plate scale. Not stretched. Not compromised. The result hits different:🔗 Tight, clicky links across the entire plate
🌊 Proper drape — falls like real fabric, not a stiff mesh
🎧 That satisfying clack when you scrunch it up
🖨️ Print in place — zero supports, zero assembly
📐 Sized for X1C / P1S / A1 (full 256×256 plate)
🎨 Looks incredible in silks, dual-color, or filament gradientsSlicer settings (included profile):
0.2mm layer, 2 walls, 15% grid infill, aligned seams. Tested on X2D, should work on any Bambu printer with a full-size plate.👀 What I want from you:If you print one, drop a pic in the comments — I genuinely want to see your color combos. Silk filament + multi-color especially. A Boost helps this reach more makers who'd actually appreciate a properly-scaled fabric instead of another stretched one.And tell me what's next — I'm planning a series of full-plate fabrics:🪡 Woven / twill weave
🛡️ Scale-mail (dragon scale style)
🎣 Herringbone

Title: Broke your pool deck drain grate? Print one tonight — I'll show you how
──────────
The grate next to my pool snapped after a few summers of sun and
foot traffic. Looked up the OEM part: Waterway 642-2800. $10 + a
week of shipping. Meanwhile, my 3D printer is sitting right there.
So I designed a drop-in replacement. Then I went one step further:
I made a SECOND version where the bottom 1" of every slot is blocked
off. That raises the gutter water level by about an inch, so the
skimmer pulls from a fuller channel — better surface debris pickup,
less air sucked in. You literally cannot buy this version from
Waterway. It only exists because someone (me) had a printer and an
afternoon.
──────────
📋 Quick facts:
- Print time: ~1.5 hr each
- Material: PETG or ASA (NOT PLA — it'll fail outdoors fast)
- Drops into any standard 2×4 Waterway/Hayward deck channel
- Two screw holes, fits the original #8 hardware
──────────
🔧 Want a different size? (2×8, 9×9, custom channels)
Drop a photo in the comments with the measurements and I'll see what
I can do. The source file is set up so the main dimensions can be
adjusted without redrawing the whole thing.
Hope this saves someone a hardware-store run and a week of waiting
for shipping. Pool maintenance season is here.

🧵 New drop: Satisfying Fabric — Full Build Plate (256×256)
Tired of scaled-up fabrics that feel floppy and lose the click? Same. So I designed one natively at full plate size — links, spacing, and tolerances dialed in at 256×256, not scaled up.
The difference is real: tight links, proper drape, ASMR-tier click across the whole plate.
🖨️ Print in place, no supports

Drop-proof phone case, printed in flexible TPU 🛡️ Unlike rigid PLA cases that crack, TPU absorbs the impact and flexes back. The chevron pattern on the back gives a nice grip so your phone stops sliding off the table. ~3 hour print, no supports needed. This is my first MakerWorld design — would love to see your prints in the comments! 🙌
