IDEA:

I created This Map with the Intention to track all the Locations i have visited already by switching out the Tiles. Starting with a Blank map and slowly uncovering the whole country.

You can use it for the Same purpose or just use it as Wall decoration

IMPLEMENTATION:

The Map Was made in Blender and the Patreon Version of the TrailPrint3D Blender Addon

There is a Free Version of the Addon that also has Tons of Features with over 3000 Downloads. Check it out here

SIZE:

The Map including the outer Frame is 71cm wide and 92cm High

CONNECTORS:

The tiles are connected by these black Connectors. You just clip them into the cutouts on the Back

Depending on your Printers accuracy you may not need Glue but i reccomend using a few drops of glue at least on the outer Frame

HANG ON WALL:

the 3mf file contains a Build Plate with 2 Black Parts that have this Cutout on the back side. You can use this to hang it onto a Wall.

The Distance between the Holes are ~61cm

If you have a Smooth wall you can also try to use Double Sided tape. You dont need the Outer frame in that case. My walls have plaster on them and double sided tape didnt work for me there

PARTS:

• 49 Map Tiles
• 2 Hang Tiles (so you can hang it on Screwheads on your wall)
• Connectors (I think 237 but just reprint that plate if you need more)
• 30 Blank Tiles (For the outer frame)

ASSEMBLY:

The Parts have a number on the Bottom (From P1 to P49)

FILAMENT:

I used the Following Green Filaments

OVERTURE PLA Olivegreen (Main Green for Terrain)

eSUN PLA+ Filament (Forest Color)

I didnt list the Black one i used as im not really happy with that one and almost every Blue works for the Water

OTHER COUNTRIES:

Not sure when and if i will create Maps for other countries but i will create a Tutorial to my Patreon that shows how you can create a map like this for your own country
