Description

By popular request, a smaller version of my Sliding Hex Fidget toy (Big Version)!

Want a cool hex fidget toy, but don't want to spend 21 hours and 300g of filament on it? You're in luck!

Fully print-in-place, the associated print profile should work well on all Bambu printers. Tolerances are a bit tight (0.2mm between pieces), but I was able to slide all of the joints straight off the print bed. Wait for it to fully cool before removing!

If you want to roll your own print parameters, I do recommend:

Arachne wall generator
Outer/Inner wall generation (to help with dimensional tolerance)
0.4mm nozzle

Note: the size and complexity of the model mean that slicing could take a few minutes. Trust the slicer and go have a cup of coffee!

Another note: the toy gets smoother the more you play with it.

what colors did you use

the print is good until some parts start flaking and coming off and ruining it but i will try to fix my bed adhesion issue.

Wash your build plate with soap and water and a scrubby sponge. Works every time for me.

Great model and profile. Printed twice so far. Once in 2 colors, Black and White, but when moving it around you couldn't see the other color so I changed it to 4 colors. The top and bottoms colors are only like 1mm thick so you can see the contrasting color when moving it around. Black, White, Silver and Ruby Red. Now motivated to print the bigger version!

I imagine that it is, it's been in my collection since day one so it will happen at some point. Waiting to get a good chance to print it. Glad I learned what I like as far as the color changes on the smaller one before the time and material commitment to the larger one. Thanks again!
