Description

You can change the dimensions (tolerances for example) of this model in fusion360 through parameters.

Since the base and handle are detachable, you can use this model as a press (use plastic or cloth in between the model and your clay for better results), or you can lay the clay onto the model (and form it around it) and use it as a mold.

Printing Information:

  • Print the base upside down (flat side down)
  • Print the handle and the connector upright
  • Use a brim to support the tall pieces by increasing their adherence to the printbed
  • Use regular supports to support the top of the connector holes while printing

Apreciate that the A1 mini is there, however it prints the hole to connect in at a non-useable thinness. I was able to use just the base for my purposes without connecting the handle.

Hello, do you mean that you can't insert the connector into the hole (the tolerance is too tight)? In practice, there is no difference in size in the profiles, maybe it is due to slight differences in the precision of the machine, it could also be due to the filament, a need for calibration, ... . You can always resize the connector in X and Y to 99% for example or sand your actual connector a bit down. That's the issue with me not having an A1 mini, I added a profile for another user to help and it seemed fine at the time but I can't check personally, sorry for the inconvenience.

Yeah, the hole was basically non-existent

Hello, I don't really understand this statement, the hole can be seen in your image, you just need to remove the supports in the center for it to exist. I could understand if you said it is slightly too small, but non-existent is odd. In the slicer, everything seems fine for the A1 mini 3mf. In the image I've attached, the supports are in green and once removed, the hole seems to be the correct size. Could you perhaps send a picture of the connector next to both holes to see how much needs to be removed? I will send you a custom file if you are interested.

Glad that everything worked fine :). As a bonus, now that you have tested the profile, people will be less scared to try it as well which is great.

Hello, I don't have the machine, but I still made one for you. I hope everything works fine. I added a disclaimer as it is untested for now but everything should work in theory.

Hello, I printed this today, and it looks pretty good. Since I will be using fabric between the press and the clay, the little bits that came out scruffy shouldn't matter too much, it was the shape I was after. I am a doofus, so I didn't quite understand how the handle and the other sticks that printed were supposed to go, so I have since corrected the handle, but the photo I'm sharing is incorrect. Thank you for making this for an A1!

Hello, no problem, I just added one for you :) (you might need to click "click to see more"). Like I said to the previous similar cases, beware that I wasn't able to test it myself but I think it should still work. An added complication however is that starting of May, new rules will be enforced and all these print profiles I made will be at risk of being removed, sadly. If you can, please send a picture that I can use on the H2S profile, this way it will be less likely that its gets removed. I don't care for the points, it's just sad that users will lose this option :/ .

I'm new to this app and bambu printers it's says the filament in the profile is petg if I put that my printer is using pla will it work or is that something I have to do out of the app?

Hi, it's important that your settings match what's in your printer as it will set the speed, temperature, ... for the selected filament, for example. You can change the filament in bamby handy and bambu studio easily by clicking on it and changing to your preferred filament, the app should adapt to it. Here is a helpful link for the bambu handy app (see at the end for what you need) as it is a bit less intuitive: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/makerworld/tutorials/printing-tutorial-on-bambu-handy Should you be unable to do it, I can upload a new profile for your preferred filament type and printer if you give me this information.

Oh wow, that's a first... , but sure, no problem, I am gladly helping you out. I don't have an h2d machine, but I still made one for you. I hope everything works fine. I added a disclaimer as it is untested for now, but everything should work in theory. Please learn to use a slicer however nevertheless as to not waste the huge potential of your high-end machine :'( .

Very good print. Suggest more infill to stand up to the rigors of clay shaping

Great! Thank you very much for this comment, as I wasn't understanding why this profile specifically wouldn't work properly (unlike the others) as some other users implied.
