Description

This is a two-piece enclosure designed to house standard Terro liquid ant bait trays. The design consists of a slide-together shell with integrated front-facing apertures to permit ant entry while reducing the risk of unintended contact by pets or children.

An internal perimeter well surrounds the bait area, allowing for increased surface access for ants or optional placement of liquid bait directly into the well. The case provides mechanical protection for the bait while offering controlled ingress for ants.

The model prints without supports and is intended for indoor use. Tolerances are optimized for typical FDM printers, with a slight friction-fit between the upper and lower halves.

That was the idea! I see yours is already trying to get in. That print looks clean and the color is great!

Printed perfectly. Fits the ant bait like it was coustome made for it. I don't have to worry about being my clutsy self around it. will print again.

Printed perfectly and pieces, and the bait, fits perfectly inside. I also like how the front lip and side troughs keep the bait from making a mess.

After kicking over not one but two Terro ant bait trays, I wondered why these things don’t come with feet and a lid. Makerworld and you answered: “Here you go, feet and a lid.” Great design. Easy, reliable print, and it solves my clumsy behavior perfectly. This is what I love about 3D printing: some thing needs a thing, and someone has already made the thing.

@PlanForX I think you uploaded the wrong model in your profile on the recent update, when opened in the slicer it looks like a lighter holder w/ stash box, nothing like the model in your photos.

Print quality was awesome, and the Terro ant traps I bought from Home Depot fit perfect in the dedicated slots in the printed traps.
