Stick Trap – Game Instructions Game Contents:

 • 1 Box with Lid

• 2 Dice

• 35 Sticks

Variant A

Game Rules

1. Game Setup:

• Each player takes a seat around the box.

• The sticks are evenly distributed among the players

(or a common number is determined).

2. Gameplay:

• Players take turns.

• The player rolls one die.

• The rolled result determines the hole in the box:

              • If a 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 is rolled, the player must insert a stick into the corresponding hole.

              • If the hole is already occupied, the player takes the stick.

              • If a 6 is rolled, the player must insert a stick into the corresponding hole

and the stick disappears into the box

3. Game End:

• The game ends when a player has no more sticks

• The player who runs out of sticks wins.

Optional Variant

• Two dice are used, same rules.

• In case of a double, the player may choose a hole (except the 6)

• With two 6s, the player may place two sticks in the 6 hole

Variant B

Stick Trap – Game Instructions

Game Contents:

  • 1 Box with Lid
  • 1 Die
  • 32 Sticks

Game Setup:

  • At the beginning of the game, the

32 sticks are evenly distributed among all players.

  • Any remaining sticks are set aside.

Game Objective:

  • The first player to get rid of all their sticks wins.

Gameplay:

  1. Players take turns rolling the die clockwise. Only one die is used at a time.
  2. The player who first rolls a six begins the game.
  3. The active player rolls the die and inserts one of their sticks into the hole in the box

that corresponds to the number rolled:

    • Holes 1–5: The stick remains in the corresponding hole.
    • Hole 6: The stick falls through the box into the large compartment.
  4. The player may continue rolling until:
    • They roll a six (the stick is thrown into the compartment).
    • Or they roll a number whose hole is already occupied by a stick. In this case, the player must take a stick back from the lid.
  5. The game ends when a player has gotten rid of all their sticks.

Special Rules and Strategies:

  • A player may roll the die as many times as they like in one turn to get rid of their sticks as quickly as possible.
  • After rolling a six, the player may decide whether to continue rolling or to pass the die to the next player.
  • If a player has only three or fewer sticks left, they may not pass the die. They must continue until they get rid of all their sticks or the game ends.
