✅The update of the seven swords is now complete after intense work🗡️. Friends who think this series is good can give it a like. Thank you for your support~

Model Introduction

Mini Telescopic Sword 8 - Green Light Sword: The prototype is the Green Light Sword, a pop-out weapon from the children's domestic animation series 'Rainbow Cat and Blue Rabbit'. The overall proportion of the sword has been redesigned to suit 3D printing. For children's use, it has been smoothed out, and electric element embellishments have been added to the details.

This is the 8th piece in my mini telescopic sword series that I designed, modeled in Fusion 360. It's Print in Place, no assembly required, prints in about 2 hours. Even the A1 mini can print it. The size is just right; both adults and children can play with it. I will continue to develop this series.

Print Settings: Hand-painted supports (please do not change them😂), no brim, other settings are standard.

Friends who like mini telescopic swords can check out the works of Teacher Cheng @老程3D设计. His homepage has many excellent mini telescopic sword models, with great designs and short print times.

Notes:

1. It is recommended not to print multiple pieces at once, as the chance of failure will increase

2. The model is easy to print, but a warm reminder for cold weather to prevent spaghetti: Clean the build plate, bed temperature +5℃, spray glue/apply glue

3. If the first few layers of the model adhere together and stretch before printing is complete, you can slightly cut it with a utility knife

4. If a section doesn't extend smoothly, it might be a slight issue with extrusion in the middle material or layer shifting; extending and retracting it a few times should make it smooth

Acknowledgements, feel free to skip😘:

Thanks to all friends who like the 'Hong Qi' mini telescopic sword series. Thanks to your support, I was able to complete this entire set of works so quickly. Originally, with my lazy personality, I might have updated it until next year, but I felt many friends were looking forward to this set of works, so I hoped to update everything I could before Chinese New Year. Finally, I finished it! It feels awesome and exhilarating! Very exciting! Personally, I also gained a lot and was very happy during the design and production process. Thank you all~ Because my skills still have many shortcomings, if you have any dissatisfaction, you can propose modification suggestions. I will try my best to optimize them. Thanks for all your suggestions and understanding~

Design Snippets, feel free to skip😘:

  • My design constraint for the mini telescopic sword was to control the print time to about 2 hours, which is the joy of a quick print with just a little spare time after work. Therefore, its form is not very long or large; it's more like a 'small knife'. But precisely because of this, both children and adults are suitable for playing with it, and it's relatively more suitable for everyday handling. Printing flaws or failures, or damage from later use, won't cause much psychological burden
  • All 7 swords were completely redesigned from sketches, not AI-generated, nor traced from images. Only the overall shape referenced the original prototype, so it's not a 'one-to-one' replica. To be transformed into a small, telescopic sword, many adjustments were made to achieve overall coordination. The original prototypes had some sharp parts; considering they are for children to play with and would cause some printing difficulty, these have all been optimized accordingly
  • Making it exactly like the original would be a bit monotonous, so I added detailed embellishments based on my personal interpretation as much as possible. But for this print size, many details I drew could not be printed, so I kept oscillating between adding and reducing details
  • Revisiting the original animation, the appearance of these swords kept changing, and the color schemes also varied. My brain was totally fried
  • Surprisingly found that the 'Hong Qi' series animation is available on Bilibili in 4K quality
  • Surprisingly found that Bilibili and Xiaohongshu still have official 'Hong Qi' accounts operating, and they are still updating recently
  • During a company dinner, I casually gave some test pieces to a colleague's little daughter, and she played with them non-stop the whole time. Getting the child's seal of approval, this kind of happiness cannot be compared to how many points I get on the platform

“Sons have courage

Wielding swords, they roam the world

Daughters have a sword heart

Tenderness fills the hills

Seven swords unite

We are like a taro

For a beautiful home
We stay together and watch over each other
Stay together and watch over each other forever”
