Description

This 3D model is designed to be printed in two separate parts: a top and bottom piece.

A 0.2mm nozzle is recommended but it can be printed with a 0.4mm one just fine. The one shown in the pictures is done on a 0.4mm nozzle.

Once printed, the two halves can be easily assembled using a small piece of 1.75mm filament as a hinge. This allows the keychain to open and close, just like a real Game Boy Advance SP.

It is enough to have a few millimeters of filament catching on each side of the hinge ( 2 small pieces ) , you don't have to insert one long piece from one end to the other. If you wish to have the filament go throughout the entire length you might need to sand the piece of filament down or very carefully drill out the hole with a 2mm bit.

Perfect for any retro gaming enthusiast, this keychain is a fun and unique way to show your love for classic gaming.

Comes in 3 versions for different types of keychains, all available in the uploaded file. Center slot, center hole punch, and a corner cutout for a small lanyard attachment

*NOTE: the NES variant only has the first version with the 1.5mm hole. All presets come with this model as well. Another preset is available with all bottom variations but colors need to be adjusted.

Looks great! .4mm nozzle. Also had a difficult time with the filament hinge. I had better luck using 2 small pieces so it didn’t have to go all the way through.

Thank you for the review. You are right, having a piece of filament go all the way through is difficult if not impossible if you don't drill out the hinge hole. I will update the description to add more details on this step.

Looks almost exact like the real deal :) I had quite the trouble getting the filament through the hinges though, had to sand it down quit a bit. Edit: printed with a 0.4 nozzle at 0.8 and PLA.

thanks for the review :D indeed inserting the filament can be tough depending on the brand that you are using as well. I used fiberlogy petg and with some pliers they went in decently well and deep enough to hold. I would've made it wider but I was worried the plastic would break.

Sorry if this is in the description or somewhere but where’s the keychain hole for the pikachu? I can’t see it. @teddi.stanescu I can only see the hole in the back, how does the key ring come out?

Hello there. There's a profile called " all bottom versions " where you can find the 3 types of holes. Granted they're not super universal so please keep that in mind, some filing or drilling might be necessary depending on how large the ends are. the easiest to use is the one with with the lanyard hole .
