Endless Design Lab's Original Level Five Sierpiński Snowflake Fractal Pyramid is an entertaining and rewarding project for fractal enthusiasts, featuring five intricate layers of recursion that bring advanced geometric detail into a seamless design. While it takes just under 22 hours to print, the process is mesmerizing to watch as the fractal grows layer by layer, making it a prime candidate for your next high-quality time-lapse video and a true labor of love for dedicated makers. The final result is a stunning combination of mathematics and artistic design, making it an exceptional piece for any collection.

Key Features

Modular Design: Display as a Hexagonal Pyramid for half the fractal, or glue two halves together to form the full Hexagonal Bipyramid structure.

Vase Mode Ready: Achieve elegant details with vase mode, with or without a bottom layer.

Sophisticated Complexity: Level Five introduces advanced fractal geometry, offering countless opportunities for cross-section exploration. Every slice reveals fascinating details hidden within the design. 🧬🤫🧬

Elevate your fractal collection with this model—ideal for those who appreciate intricate geometry and the beauty of deliberate, precise creation.

Stay tuned for Level Six, where the fractal designs continue to evolve into even more intricate and captivating patterns!

3D Print Settings:

This model was created and optimized for FDM printers with vase mode enabled. For best results, use spiral vase mode WITHOUT the "smooth spiral" option checked in your slicer settings. If you don’t see the "smooth spiral" checkbox in your slicer, no worries—just be sure to use Spiralize Outer Contour (or a similarly named option in your slicer, such as spiral/vase mode).

Ensure your slice gap closing radius is set to 0, as this is critical for proper vase mode printing. Without this setting, the slicer may close gaps that are necessary for the model to print correctly.

Printing Tip:
For best results, enable the “Skirt” option in your slicer to ensure consistent nozzle pressure from the start. Skipping the skirt may cause a “funny” or deformed corner on the first layer, because the nozzle pressure won’t be properly primed when the print begins.

To achieve the intricate line pattern on the bottom as shown in the photos, set the number of bottom layers to 0.

While this may sound complicated, slicing this model is actually simple and straightforward as long as you follow the instructions. However, if you find yourself having trouble, I’m happy to help! Leave a comment down below and I'll get back to you as soon as I'm available to do so.

Have fun! 🥳
