D6x2 mm Round Magnet (20PCS) - CA004

Description

These storage trays are designed to make storing and organising printed miniatures simple and secure. They use 6mm x 2mm magnets to hold miniatures in place, ideal for those with embedded magnets or washers.

The medium tray holds up to 48 medium-sized miniatures, fitting both metric (25mm) and imperial (1-inch) bases. The large tray accommodates 12 large models and includes a section for up to 9 tiny models, such as familiars or small creatures.

Both trays are sized to fit snugly inside a standard A4 folder, providing protection while remaining stackable and space-efficient.

(check out the Player's DND Miniature Magnetic Storage Solution for a smaller tray to manage your players miniatures, compatible with these larger trays for storage at the end of the game!)

17/03/25 - have added a 5x7 grid comprising of 31mm x 31mm squares for use with 30mm models. Same 6x2mm magnet requirement.

Printing Notes

For reliable results, the first few layers should be printed slowly to ensure a solid base and properly formed magnet holes.

When printing miniatures, I add a negative disk in BambuStudio to the centre of the base (10mm diameter, 2mm deep). This allows a standard M5 washer to be glued in place, so the models attach securely to the tray magnets. The connection is strong enough to keep everything in place, even if the tray is flipped upside down.

These trays are a practical solution for keeping miniatures organised and protected, especially for anyone working with printed models prone to breaking.
