Player's DND Miniature Magnetic Storage Solution

Description

This DND or war game miniature storage tray is designed to complement the larger DND Miniature Magnetic Storage Solution. Each one of these trays is exactly half the size of the larger version, so you can fit up to 4 of these trays in a standard A4 folder box for easy storage of your miniatures. These trays are fully compatible with the larger trays, so you can mix and match by combining two smaller trays with one larger tray inside a folder box for example.

During our DND sessions, we realised that players often have lots of miniatures to manage — player character models (with and without familiars), mounted versions, summons, druids’ shape shift creatures, spell effects, and more. This tray helps players keep track of their own miniatures while keeping them securely in place with magnets.

The tray utilises 6mm x 2mm magnets to hold miniatures in place. These magnets are perfect for models with their own embedded magnets or washers (we use M5 washers, add a void in Bambu Studio 10mm in diameter, 2mm deep) - this helps ensure that even when the tray is turned upside down, your miniatures stay securely attached.

Printing Notes:

• For best results, print the first few layers slowly to ensure a strong foundation and properly formed magnet holes.
• When printing miniatures, add a negative disk (10mm diameter, 2mm deep) to the base in BambuStudio. This allows an M5 washer to be glued securely to the model's base, ensuring a strong magnet connection to the tray — even when flipped upside down.
• I've added 2 plates to this upload - one plate is a single tray, the second plate is two trays if you want to print multiple at once.

These trays are a practical and reliable storage solution for keeping miniatures organised and protected, especially for printed models that may be prone to breakage.
