Description

I added a 20w Diode laser module to my Ender 3 - not as a addon, but to replace the 3d printing functrion entirely and just use it for it's XY axis's and control board! Read more here - https://hackaday.io/project/202092-old-3d-printer-to-laser-engraver-conversion

These parts attach to the Z axis lead screw to enable adjusting the focus of the laser module when attached. The knob SHOULD screw on to the lead screw and just hang on. I didnt need to use glue - your miliage may vary however! Make sure to un plug the Z axis stepper motor too!

Check out the build video!

Not sure how you manage to screw it on you rod, but it was noticably too tight for that on mine. A single drill bit pass to enlarge it solved everything, quick and easy. Maybe redesigning it so that it is only press fit would be better?

interesting! was press fit / screw on on my Ender 3, wonder if they used a few different lead screws? regardless - glad you made it work!
