This is fantastic. I dropped a whole roll of filament on the floor and just using this coupling to widen out the spool is considerably easier than printing out a device to re-wrap the whole thing. I’ve had no issues with it. great work. thank you

the extender was not going on right and it ended up breaking. I will need to try it again but how do you do the 99%?

It's a great idea, I printed a set with the default support of Tree (auto) / default and the supports are beautiful, a work of art, and so is the stringing. The supports failed to keep the middle and outer ring from stringing badly. So then I set the supports to Normal (auto) / default and while it was a pain to weed out the support material there was still a few strings on the middle ring and enough on the outer that it had lost it's edge. I didn't try the 2nd coupler, but I did try the first and the female side would engage with the spool, the male side was too short and would not engage with the threads on the spool. This was on a Sunlu PLA+ spool, A1 printer, SUNLU PLA+2.0 filament.

I broke 2 of these trying to get them into the side of the spool with the slots. I ended up doing a 3rd print at 99% to get it to fit. The links to the innermost ring that slots into the spool are definitely a weak point in the model. Still, this thing is very helpful and I'm sure I'll print it again in the future.

I had the same issue on print 1, I need to figure out how you did the 99% print.

Support Issue:I wanted this to work. Unfortunately, it printed the threads in a way that the filament didn't connect to itself.

I would have needed it but the dimensions are not adapted to the rolls of bambu lab and the solidity is not there because we have to force but it does not hold much. On the other hand, the idea is great!

This little model saved me so much time. I saw it posted on a facebook group and thought I would give it a try. I made a rookie mistake with a bambu spool and didn't make sure I heard the click. This resulted in the spool coming apart and I could not get it all back together again. Thank you!!
