Description

A problem with ebikes are the fragile displays and controllers mounted on the handlebars, they ofter stick out and mean that you cant flip the bike on its back without fear of damaging things for basic maintenance such as to clean the chain, change a tyre, or fixing a puncture. These simply clamp onto the grips and keep your bar and fragile ebike parts clear of the ground! No moving parts, printed from TPU the flex within the part is enough to clamp to the bar and stay attached while flipping the bike.

 

Recommended to print from 95A TPU with 2x walls (0.4mm nozzle). If using softer TPU of you want more rigid clamp, then increased to 3x walls.

  • Provide 45mm of stand off between the ground and your bar grips
  • 4 degree angle in the stand to accomodate for typical handle bar rise angle
  • Built in flex acts like a spring to clamp onto the bar grip, staying in place while you flip the bike over
  • Single piece TPU plastic - simple construction, no moving parts to break or fragile plastic to snap
  • Robust - Rigid enough to support your ebike, but material is flexible and robust enough to be thrown around without breaking
  • Lightweight and compact - approx. 40g for a pair, compact design, can be thrown in your kit box or at the bottom of your bag when your're out and about

Works great. I've printed it in two sizes for different handlebar/handlebar grip diameters for now.

printed well. I'll have to test them out on my bike next time I take it out for a ride.

I have print them in PETG Scale to 120%. This way my grips fit better and they have a better stand. Would they be too rigid ? No

I have not but I suspect it will be too rigid. May require redesign to allow enough flex

I printed a pair for testing in PETG - worked once but one broke (and the other almost) when I tried to remove it from the handlebar.
