Description

Mobile Card Stack Holder
Fits cards 80.0mm x 53.8mm
The original version did not lend itself well to storage.  This version includes a strap that prevents the cards from falling out while stored, and also doubles as a stand to prevent the opened holder from tipping backwards when in use.   The stand is essential to prevent tipping in the 9 and 12 card stack holder versions.

I was curious how it would turn out… but this is great!

How is the rattling on this model? I printed the original one and the fittings were too loose so it would rattle a lot.

The actual printed parts fit quite tight and the one that I have printed produce no discernable sound. The cards, however, do need to have a little bit of a gap all around the edges in order to make the cards easy to remove and put back during gameplay. This gap provides the opportunity for rattling between the cards and the 3D printed parts, but I'm afraid there is not much I can do to change that without effecting function during gameplay. Another factor is the fact that there are more development cards than there are any one resource card, so that stack is a little taller than the other 5. That produces another gap that could be producing your rattling sound. Again, not much I can do to fix that without changes that cause a lot of other, more significant issues with the assembly.

Would it be possible to get this with 8 slots instead of 6? I created and printed up random "Treasure" cards like they have for the some of scenarios in the digital version of the game. We also use gold as a resource card instead of a token.

good print with the exception of the very small clips that are suppose to hold the sides on. they flung off when we went to close it and we lost them. not sure if they were needed

When I assembled my first one I had a clip fly off too. Turns out I had installed the clip backwards. Maybe that's what happened in your case too? The clips are very small and it's not terribly obvious that they are not symmetrical on the axis parallel to the print layers. Your development cards seem to barely be fitting in the holder. Have your cards been used much? I notice that the more playing cards are used, the thicker the stack gets... 🤔(tolerance stack-up from little bends all over the cards?) Should I think about increasing the pocket depth to accommodate well used cards or does everything still fit alright?

we are using the 5-6 player version so maybe that is why the development cards are just fitting in?

Great for the original game set of cards for 3-4 players. It does not fit all of the progress cards included for 5-6 players. It also does not fit neatly in the box with the original storage setup. It works great gor my purposes, though, as I’m working on consolidating my board game storage and will not be using the default storage insert in the box anyway.

Wonderful! Is there any chance to get this model for other card sizes...an in more "options" Like: 1 column for 3 card trays, or a 2x2 etc...?

Sure. DM me which card sizes and configurations you want along with the games that they're associated with so I can upload for everyone.

A version for the old Catan cards (44mm x68mm) would be great. Each pile of cards is approx. 8mm high.

I was surprised at how well this worked! I will say though, it doesn't work great for in game bank unless one person is designated as the banker, since the cards can only smoothly slide in and out from strictly one direction. Besides that, it's a great.

What sort of blaspheming heathen's would play Catan without a designated banker?! I bet you play with the "Friendly Robber" policy too... 🤮 Haha, thanks for your review!
