Description

Auxbeam 8 gang switch mount for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma

i prefer PETG as the item faces 100 degree temps in the hot summers of florida

more picture and bio will be uploaded shortly

UPDATE 01/06/2025

i flipped the switch panel on the buildplate and added supports, which lowered the print time by 2 hours, still no pictures but coming soon revised model is MUCH better

I had to modify the framing of my vehicle behind the 4th button (not shown in the image) However, my truck has 4 buttons included and without the 4th button I would have had to find a way to connect it to one of the buttons on the switch panel I also needed to modify the design as the wire is coming out of the opposite corner, I would have had to install the switch panel upside down to get the wire to come out correctly The orientation did not work well for me and I had to try several orientations to get it to print without failing or being overly brittle I also set the print profile to standard for the same reasons, this may be more of a personal issue though as I do not have the same luck as others in some profiles and printing at any speed above normal results in terrible quality or failure

I seem to be having similar issues as well. I've tried multiple orientations of the item itself and it keeps failing. What orientation did you have decent luck with?

I put it face down which worked OK, but I have the print plate texture on half and then the weird texture on the other half of the face where it didn't touch the plate I think I need to learn how to do the chemical wash to smooth it out, but I don't know if that works well with PETG

I cant believe I never added a photo! My bad my guy! The lower section had supports so you can tell the difference in the visual quality However, as I have learned more, I found the PETG I use a bit brittle, so in other projects I was able to prevent the clips from breaking by heating them up with my heat gun before inserting I could also probably use PLA instead or another PETG thats not as brittle

Thank you for your reply. Currently I found one for sale but they want almost $200 Canadian and I can not afford that.
