Description

This file is for wall brackets for a 1:100 scale Saturn V.  I printed this in PLA and had great results.  Due to the Saturn V models center of gravity, I found that it was not necessary to design and print a bracket for the smaller diameter stages.

@user_3207749133 I printed the Saturn V at 200% any suggestions for making this wall mount work for that size? Probably have to try cutting it into section and then gluing them together? Wanted to check before i went down a rabbit hole and wasting material

sorry, didn’t see this till now. I would enlarge it on the build plate and see how it fits. either print one at a time or split it and glue like you suggested.

Sorry, I wasn't notified of your question. Gee, if it doesn't fit the build plate I would probably cut it and glue with CA glue. The other option might be to stand it up on the plate, if it doesn't automatically do that for you. I think thats how I printed mine. I would make the cut line such that it is not in a structural spot.

if you haven't resolved ot then, you can use bambu studion or tinkercad and it will show you how big the build playe is compared to what you are printing

Go to this and look for the 200% file. The only thing I did different when I printed it was I glued the USA red letters into the model and then I filled it with automotive body filler and painted ALL of the white parts with a flat white paint. Then I searched online and found 1:96 (if my memory is correct) water transfer decals. I got a set that included EVERYTHING that was on the original Apollo rockets. It was worth every minute and penny I spent. https://makerworld.com/en/models/60919-saturn-v-rocket?from=search#profileId-63130

I hope I'm not posting this twice but my reply disappeared. So go to this link and look for the 200% file. That one is 1:100 scale. I didn't care for the USA letters being printed and inserted so I glued them in and then filled the area with autobody filler and painted the entire model (white parts) in a flat white. I know the original rockets were glossy but gloss would make the 3D printing lines show up. I then searched the internet and found 1:96 water transfer decals. You get every single decal ever put on the Apollo. It turned out awesome! https://makerworld.com/en/models/60919-saturn-v-rocket?from=search#profileId-63130
