Description

For when turbo fuel wont cut it anymore, time to get spicy. Was created as a Christmas gift for Reddit Moderator Temporal_Illusion (aka my Dad)

Two base options included, only need to print one.

  • Option one, no support but will need to glue the feet on
  • Option two, with supports (I used tree Auto, build plate only)

Filament used

  • Bambu PLA Basic Yellow
  • Bambu PLA Basic Silver
  • eSUN Translucent Green PLA
  • Bambu PLA Matte Charcoal

Fixation

  • 8 - M3 x 6mm bolts and threaded inserts for the top
  • 4 - M4 x 16mm bolts and threaded insert for the base
  • 1 - M4 x 6mm bolt and threaded insert for the bottom cap

EDITED - Old lighting solution didn't work out. Ended up replacing with this solution.

  • 5 Volt UV LED Light Strips: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08H4WJM5F
  • 3 volt/1amp Power Supply: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KRLVDWW
  • Optional: Power Jack adapter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GPQZ4E
  • 22 Awg 2 conductor wire: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0793N3WZZ
  • Steps:
    1. Cut up the LED strips in 150mm/6" lengths. Cut at the cut marks. You will need 16 of them.
    2. Solder the wire onto all 16 strips. Make sure you have direction and polarity correct. Solder the bottom where the words on the strip or facing up.
    3. Fun part, gently round the strips lengthwise and shove them into the green rods
    4. Then put all assembly together fishing all the wires out the bottom.
    5. Connect all the positives together and all the negatives together.
      1. I was lazy and just solder the big bundle of wires together
    6. Connect solder the Power jack or the power supply direction to the wires above
      1. NOTE: used 3 volt/1amp on purpose to reduce the total power in otherwise you will have a thermal runaway and your LEDS will burn out in a few weeks, if they last that long.
    7. Be lazy and hot glue all the wires to the base, or use a clean method if you like.
    8. Enjoy.
