Description

Basic fishing rod holder. Can be wall (horizontal) or ceiling mounted with reels inplace. 2 configurations - either for 4 or 5 rods.   This is a 3D printed version of a acrylic fabrication.   My original design (a long time ago) was laser cut and with one heat bend.

I’m glad the creator read my comment and took action in rescuing the thickness of the material! Printed with PLA.

Any chance you could make the model thinner? I measured the L section at 4.8mm. Would be great from them to be 2.5mm overall thickness

L section thickness is at 6mm. Rod holder originally was a made from 6mm acrylic and heat bent. I could have a version at 4.5mm or maybe 3mm at minimum but will increase chance of breakage. Not sure what's the intent of going down to 2.5 mm. Reduce material / print time? Working on a remix that gets attached with keyhole for a more streamlined look.

Thank you for the response, yes, reducing print time would be great! I have made a few and I think 3mm - 3.5mm thickness would be enough to hold them up since you have the upper support for them to be ceiling mounted. I’m willing to experiment and report back after you make the changes. Thanks again

I cut this in the slicer at 2mm and printed perfect. I will mount it and report. should have no issues as long as I pre drill the holes for mounting. Can I post a remix? This only takes 1.4 hours to print and 57.2g of filament
