Description

Hello! I present you a new measuring tool for M1-M10 bolts, nuts, screws with some special considerations!

You can also measure the pitch / thread of a given screw / bolt if you print it very fine.

Here is the imperial version!

I had another gauge but it was a remix and I did not like some of the base model features so I made this one from scratch.

Features:

  • bolt/screw/nut sizes: M1 M1.2 M1.6 M2 M3 M4 M5 M6 M8 M10
  • lengths from 1-120mm
  • pitch/thread sizes: 0.2 0.25 0.3 0.35 0.4 0.45 0.5 0.6 0.7 0.75 0.8 1 1.25 1.5 1.75 2
  • big numbers for easy reading
  • contrasting colors for the letters and the measure lines - only 2 filament swaps!
  • nut gauge has inner studs for precise inner M measurement (there are M nuts with a non-standard outer size)
  • nut gauge can measure other M hardware with M threads
  • 10mm hole for easy wall storage
  • 2x3 gridfinity grid for easy gridfinity storage
  • magnet holes for 6x2mm magnets (you need glue)

Here are my other models: https://makerworld.com/en/@MasterCake

You can print the tool with a 0.4mm nozzle but then some of the fine threads are lost. I recommend 0.2mm if you want the fine lines.

Print settings - high quality, fine threads - time 12:56h

  • 0.2mm nozzle
  • 0.06mm adaptive layer (0.5 ratio)
  • 6 walls
  • seam position back
  • ironing top surfaces
  • arachne walls (important)
  • 5% adaptive cubic infill
  • no brim
  • no prime tower (not needed, less waste, faster print)

Print settings - medium quality, pitch 0.5-2 - time 4h

  • 0.4mm nozzle
  • 0.08mm adaptive layer (0.5 ratio)
  • 3 walls
  • everything else like above (!)

Print settings - medium quality, pitch 1.25-2 - time 2:40h

  • 0.4mm nozzle
  • 0.2mm adaptive layer (0.5 ratio)
  • 3 walls
  • everything else like above

Print settings - low quality, pitch 1.5-2 - time 1:40h

  • 0.4mm nozzle
  • 0.28 adaptive layer (0.5 ratio)
  • 2 walls
  • no ironing
  • everything else like above

I hope you like the print and I would appreciate a boost from you!
