Multifunctional Combination Screw Parts Tool Cabinet, Stackable and Hangable

DIY enthusiasts often accumulate a plethora of tools and screws, creating disarray. Frustrated by the mess and possessing numerous leftover materials, I designed this tool storage cabinet.

The collapse at the top in the image was due to my oversight in failing to enable supports, (actually, I forgot to chamfer that area, but the source file is locked and unmodifiable, so supports were added as a workaround).

I. Screw Sorting and Storage Section:

1. The screw cabinet is stackable and combinable; theoretically, it allows for unlimited storage. I have stored over one hundred different screw types in it (all acquired using two-yuan coupons from Taobao).

2. The drawers' compartments can be arbitrarily combined. Boxes are labeled with readily available screw types; simply select and use the desired type. There are also unlabeled boxes available.

3. The drawers are also marked: M2-M6 + a blank space; countersunk screws, cup head screws, hex socket head screws, Phillips, all with graphic representations. For categorization, color code the corresponding indicators or use AMS for coloring.

II. Top Tool Storage Section:

As shown in the image, commonly used rulers, scissors, pliers, screwdrivers, Allen wrenches, markers, acrylic glue, power tools, etc. are easily accessible.

III. A pegboard is integrated on the side for hanging various items. The corresponding pegboard hook STEP files will also be shared so you can customize your own hangers.

This project took a considerable amount of time, with many printing tests and modifications.

I initially planned to open-source all source files for community modification, but my modeling software unexpectedly expired two days ago, preventing source file export. The 888 yuan annual student plan is unaffordable, so I purchased a new license and redrew a simplified hook, which is now open-source.

Depending on community interest, I might reverse-engineer my original model and provide the source files later.

There's also a smaller MINI version that's already designed but yet to be printed and tested. This will be released later.
