Description

Making coffee with a Nespresso or a similar machine is great for convenience and good taste, but it creates a lot waste! The good thing is that most coffee pods are made of aluminium, so they are 100% recyclable.

With this Coffee Pod Recycler, you can recycle your pods right at home! With a simple (and satisfying) pull down of the lever, you can easily separate the coffee grounds from the aluminium capsule. Why would you want to do this at home? Well, you can separate the aluminium from the organic waste (coffee grounds) making recycling of both a lot easier.

One of the ways you can recycle coffee grounds is by using it to absorb unwanted odours. Place a container full of the dried coffee grounds in an area with unwanted odours and let the coffee absorb it all! And you're in luck! This model has a detachable coffee grounds catcher and an easy to use lid, allowing you to place the collected coffee grounds anywhere you have some unwanted odours!

Included in model: Detachable Grounds catcher and lid

This model is 100% 3D printed! No glue or fasteners needed for assembly (except for hardware to mount on a wall).

Fastening tool Included:

Update: Check out the awesome handle made by @mnm9450 and definitely give it a print if you don't plan on mounting the tool to the wall: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1173937-handle-of-coffee-pod-recycling#profileId-1182682

Tips for use:

  • Make sure the Coffee Pod Recycler is securely attached to a wall or other suitable surface.
  • Do not use pods that have just come out the coffee machine - let them dry a bit first.
  • Try to crush the pod in a single motion.
  • Sliding mechanism of the plunger improves as it is used more.

I hope you enjoy!
