4 inch <> 6 inch duct adapter (100mm <> 150mm)
Print Profile(1)

Description
Designed to bring two ducts of 4 inch (100mm) and 6 inch (150mm) together. It also can serve as a dust collector hood for woodworking.
Please note the ducts go OVER the printed adapter. I also recommend a metal duct clamp adapter depending on amount of strain on the duct. I also recommend not over-tightening the duct clamps.
Similar to the 3 inch to 4 inch duct I previously created, I ensured the air flow within the duct is incredibly smooth. This one has even fewer edges that would cause any airflow turbulence or vortices, unlike the cheap big box and Amazon ducts that are two stacked cylinders with abrupt corners where the two cylinders meet. In other words, this model helps reduce friction and increase cooling or heating efficiency. Or in my use case, dust collection, no clogging!
Why pay for an inferior one when you can print one for pennies?
Boost Me (for free)
If you like this model, consider giving me a boost. Greatly appreciate it as it would help contribute to getting more filaments so I can create and test more models for all of you.
Further notes from print profile:
With a 0.4mm nozzle, I recommend printing with:
- 0.20mm layer height
- 6 walls for strength, especially with the ultra thin exterior to maximize airflow
- No support required
- Dry your filament as much as possible
Note: I have NOT tried and do not recommend printing at 50% scale to get a 2 inch to 3 inch adapter. The thin walls may require a 0.2mm nozzle or slower print speeds. Please do so at your own risk. I intend to produce another adapter for this - let me know if this is something I should prioritize.
