Description

Converts 73.5mm (~3in) spools to 55mm (~2in) spools to work with the AMS Lite. Designed for fitting Sunlu spools that always slip off the AMS Lite system. You do not need to print support with this model. Feel free to remix for other spools!

Print at 15% infill. PLA will work great!
When assembling, you will need to bend the part inward. It will act as a spring to grip the spool. A tight fit is needed so it does not fall off the AMS lite. To take it out of your spool, push with 2 thumbs on the opposite side, and it should pop right out.

NOTE: Some rolls have draft (a slight taper) on the inside diameter walls. If the adapter does not fit well, try inserting on the other side of the roll.

I have printed 4 of these for the A1 Mini. Since the core of the spool for Sunlu filament was too large, this print allowed me to properly mount my spools. Thank you for providing this!

never used this printer or software before yesterday, and duplicated four of these on the printbed, I'll find out 4.5 hours later if that was a good idea or not....

not sure if I have a different type of spool from Sunlu but my adapter is too large to fit in. printed great and will keep for if other spools don’t fit. has anyone else run into this? wonder if it is a new size or spool update from them.

When I just measured it, the internal dimensions are 62mm.

Hello, it's normal you have a 2.0 spool from Sunlu This adapter is compatible with 1.0 spools (black) Other adapters exist for your current spools

very tight to push through! One side cracked when doing so but I was being too rough with it. It's still connected and fits good on the AMS. no sliding off. this is a Sunlu PLA silk spool.

Glad to see it works! If it felt like a super tight fit, try and insert it on the other side of the spool. Some spools have a taper on the inside and make one side fit differently

Yes I just broke my first print tonight too :( Fast mode print - PLA Matte . Broke while pushing it in.

works great i used 15% gyroid infill, thanks for the fast easy print file.. also i dont see a way to leave ratings.. some people have option i see

Fit 100% fine, following the isntruction, it only fit as said in one direction of the spool

I've had good luck with Sunlu before, but some matte PLAs have weaker bending strength, so it's easier to snap. If you have another PLA or PETG to print with and that breaks too, let me know, and I'll work on getting a better profile for the part!
