Description
A hollow dragon egg designed so that the scales overlap in such a way that the seam between the two parts is hidden. The two parts smoothly join together using a simple twist, encouraging easy interactive use and ensuring that the scales are always perfectly aligned.
Print profiles for four different sizes are included, and the three smallest sizes are setup so that they will fit inside of each other ("nesting doll" like). If you're not sure which to choose, I'd recommend starting with the “medium” size (which is the primary version featured in the pictures here). You can also certainly scale the model to other sizes as well, and note that included in the downloads are the STLs with three different levels of clearance around the twist lock. Note that a bowl design, using a similar style, is also available.
