This festive gift box is perfect for adding a touch of surprise to Christmas or any occasion that could use a playful twist!

Inspired by my San Valentine “Little Love Box”, this new version takes it up a notch with a completely redesigned locking mechanism that keeps the lid secure until it’s time for the big reveal. No more accidental openings or wobbly closures — this upgrade ensures a flawless, reliable pop!

When you press the ribbon on either side, the lid springs up, revealing a surprise inside. This model uses two launch springs that are easy to print without supports, making the assembly sturdy and efficient.

Printing is straightforward, needing just a bit of support for the release buttons.

In the print profile, you’ll find extra plates with witty messages like “Try Again!” and three spring tension options: Safe, Regular, and To-The-Moon.

Safe: Gentle enough for young kids, with just enough bounce to lift the lid.
Regular: Adds a bit more pop, sending the lid flying up in a playful hop, but still under control.
To-The-Moon: The strongest option! The lid shoots up with a real punch, so be sure to keep your face clear — this one’s definitely the most fun! Don’t worry, it won’t hit the ceiling (or the moon), but it might surprise you if you’re too close.

There is also an extra empty plate where you can add your own text, from Bambu Studio just click the plate and click the Font icon. Add your text but be sure to select 6mm thickness.

Perfect for a lighthearted Christmas gag or even as a cute prank for your partner — just make sure they have a good sense of humor, or you might find the box launched back in your direction!

Misleading content, I have printed all the parts but the parts are very difficult to fit together and the buttons are stuck so they don't work.

great box. going to make a fun prank. wish the springs worked better. reccomend stronger springs or lighter too

not really an issue per se. just would have liked more jump than provided by the to the moon set. I printed them from Asa thinking durability but perhaps pla is more springy going to try that. otherwise great design and concept so much fun I plan to make a small container instead of the text panel. I am going to load the container with snowflake confetti

Great idea but could use some tuning on the execution. The actuator buttons are a bit weak and the lock latch breaks off. Could also put in the description that the pieces need to be glued
