Description

Make this upcoming Valentine's Day truly special with this irresistible Little Love Box and earn your well-deserved cuddles without having to print kilos of filament.

Surprise your partner with a unique gesture: ask them to give a gentle push to the box, and the lid will soar away, revealing a red heart supported by a 3D-printed spring.

Print

DO NOT ADD SLICER SUPPORT for spring, read below.

The printing process is a breeze, except for the spring, which requires a bit of attention and 0.12mm of layer height.

But don't worry, I've already included the necessary support in the design, so you won't need any additional supports.

After printing it, carefully remove the support using tweezers, starting from the central hole. Try detaching the upper part by hand and continue with the tweezers until the spring is completely free. It works like a charm, I assure you!

Assembly

Assembly is straightforward: insert the spring into the base. If everything went well, you won't need glue; otherwise, use two drops for added security.

Now take the plate and the heart (or just the heart) and glue them to the spring. Close it all with the lid and get ready to share all your love!

You can choose to use the plate/frame for the heart or leave it without. Both have specially designed slots to be easily glued to the spring.

Laughs and cuddles guaranteed!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I didn’t have an issue. I used a razor blade to detach the support from the spring.

Mine has the exact same defect or line in the outside of the thumb area as you can see in your last picture. I thought it was my printer but it must be something in the file:/

Are you sure because it starts printing in the air on that layer, i already tried it. Or is that supposed to happen?

It's good, I left more gap between support and spring than the "regular" one to be simpler to remove but Bambu Studio will warn you there are floating regions and you will see them blue colored. But it's as supposed it should be. Trust me (and all the other ratings) it works. :-)

Great design but the spring profile on the square box is better than the octagon, the otogon fails each time but the the Square profile is A1

Great print! No issues with the designer’s print profiles using Bambu Labs PLA Basic - White and a generic PLA - Red. In particular, the plastic spring with the breakaway support was really well designed.
