Description

This is a quick detachable shell clip/holder that fits on the side saddle of a Mossberg Shockwave. It uses the 25.4mm hole pattern on the factory side-saddle. I am sure it can be adapted to attach to a Mossberg that doesn't have the factory side saddle. To keep it compact, I did not include room for the lock washers. If it becomes an issue I can re-model it to accommodate them.

It could be mounted in either direction. I made mine so the clip will pull on towards you. There is a close clearance to the pump handle, So I shaved 3mm off the clip. For this reason, it will not sit flush with the edge of the base plate. I can provide the file of the 3mm longer version, scaling would not work. the base is a tight fit on the metal bracket. I started the screws before pushing it on all the way. I have a stock P1S and it worked great, but as results may vary, you may want to scale both the base and clip to be slightly wider. Wasn't an issue for me, but just a suggestion.

The two pieces join together with dovetails. I made a .2mm tolerance fit. You need to have your supports dialed in, and use a support interface material. I printed in PLA and used PETG interface. See my screenshots for my custom settings. For strength, print in the orientation pictured: baseplate flat down, and QD clip on its side. Be careful removing the supports. the dovetails will be the weak point because of their size. the PETG will make them peel off easy, but the dovetail joints prove difficult to remove without damaging. On the female dovetail, I ran a blade along the edges to break it free, then I picked at it until I could get ahold of the PETG and peeled it out. Once it was out the PLA portion came right out.

I have only printed in PLA. PLA+ is probably better depending how this will be stored. Would love feedback on how stronger filaments do! I was worried that if it was too stiff the latch wouldn't flex, but I bet it could be overcome.
