Description

I have compiled a setup for most used drypods for different hydrometers.

 

1st plate is with multislotted seetrough pod complete setup , and 2nd plate holds pod to slide to the printing 3rd plate .

 

all boxes have settings applied specific for them and will stay when you move one..

This drybox setup is for the AMS Hydra Mod, and it also works perfectly with the standard AMS. It fits perfectly and the volume is larger than most other versions. There are different types of boxes added for different styles of Hygrometer. This is the Hygrometer I used from bambu :

I compared the humidity of the hygrometer in the silica box with another one at the position of a spool. They show the same values.

Each box hold around 100g of silica. I use the orange type of colour changing silica which should be less harmful when dryed instead of the toxic cobalt blue.

1/1/2025 added strips rear side of wide boxes for better printability.

I keep having issues with some of the lines not sticking to the bed plate.

ok first which filament you using ? second did you wash your plate clean with dishwasher soap ?

I am using basic black filament. I cleaned the plate with isopropyl alcohol. filament temp is 220° and bed temp is 55°

ok temps are normal , have you set the plate in the slicer to textured ? isopropanol is great for in between prints but not when having issues adhesion . try to scrub the plate with a soft sponge and some dawn? dreft ? dishwashing soap this works better for removing grease than isopropanol... when I am having bed adhesion problems I always fall back to that instead of isopropanol.

For the AMS 1 very good, very good design and the humidity is as you want it in no time at all. but what exactly are these little caps for the filament feed needed? for me, in connection with drying, it doesn't really make sense. what is it intended for

not needed but if used with a piece of ptfe tube it will prolong the life of the filament funnels...

I have a hard time fitting those in them like they are to wide. I asume not suitebale for an AMS 2 Pro? I only printed the front "buckets". The smaller ones i cannot place them at all.

they will not fit as the space in the ams 2 pro is smaller .. you can try this one : https://makerworld.com/models/1261779

You can slide them on top of the feeder with a small piece of ptfe tube to prevent wear of the plastic of the feeder ....

This is an epic print. The pieces fit perfectly in my AMS. The lid and funnel setup is brilliant. Freaking awesome that is. Absolutely no issues printed in PLA. This setup holds almost exactly 2 lbs of the Slice Engineering Filament drying dessicant. Man does that stuff start working fast. I like it. FYI, this hygrometer from Amazon fits the holder on the main plate perfectly. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GR65CNT
