Description

On Chutingstar, with shipping, it was $100 USD; and at my local dropzone it was still $60... for a simple bracelet. So I thought, "f*** that," I have 3D printers.. and I made my own ;)
Assembly:
1. Insert the heat inserts into the two holes.
2. If using an elastic band, sew it to fit your wrist size.
3. Insert the altimeter.
4. Insert the lid part with the elastic band between the lid and the altimeter, and screw in the two M3 screws.
*Note:* There is ample space between the lid part and the altimeter, and that’s on purpose—you need to tuck the seams and/or extra slack inside to apply pressure on the altimeter between the face and bottom parts for a tight fit.
Hardware needed:
- 2 x M3xL4xOD4.2 heat inserts like this one
- 2 x 5mm button head M3 screws
- Any 40mm-wide elastic or Velcro strap i'm using this one
- Soldering iron
- Sewing equipment
Tip:
- While PLA works, if you have something stronger I recommend using that; PETG is a good choice due to its better resistance compared to PLA and its better elasticity (it deforms rather than breaking) over ABS.
