Miniature Extendable Lightsaber - Gundam
Print Profile(1)

Description
Initially, please note that without the light, printing plates 1 or 2, 3, 4 with individual color selections suffices Plate 5 is exclusively for the light attachment and allows for seamless switching, please choose accordingly
Updated November 15th, the connecting thread now includes a one-piece version, enhancing strength and integration, though installation is slightly more complex
Added a handle with hollow heat dissipation holes, improving the effect with the light
Updated November 17th, the flashlight end cap has been optimized The default plate 5 is a large-gap version, while plate 7 offers a tight fit If incompatibility persists, adjust the hole for compensation
A miniature Gundam beam saber, economical, simple to install, requiring no modifications or soldering for exceptional results
The miniature version stands at only 14 centimeters tall, extending to approximately 58 centimeters in length A 3-hour print time, consuming less than 60 grams of filament, making it easily enjoyable for both children and adults It features a concealed, removable end cap for easy blade replacement Its compact size results in slightly smaller threads The end cap includes grooves for tightening or removal using a coin Alternatively, the print files include a plastic disc with the same function
Adding a light currently offers these options
1.The handle conveniently fits a small, high-intensity flashlight After extending the focusing lens, insert it into the printed fixture, place it inside the handle, and tighten the end cap

2.Remove the original end cap and use the adapter fixture to secure the flashlight head, screwing it into the end cap position The flashlight is thus fixed at the end For improved aesthetics, attach the included sleeve end cap over the flashlight

Each method presents advantages and disadvantages The first option yields a more aesthetically pleasing result during use, but requires removing the flashlight for operation and may affect extension The second option may be less visually appealing, but maintains the flashlight's zoom and switch functionality, with no impact on extension Please carefully consider the best approach for your needs

Retracted state

Extended state
I used a cylindrical, 20mm diameter, high-intensity flashlight from a popular online marketplace with a focusing feature Similar flashlights should work, but verify diameter and length beforehand Discrepancies may impede attachment Focusing enhances the effect The photographs depict the stunning results achieved with transparent PETG under high-intensity illumination The top features through-holes allowing light to project directly, adhering to the lightsabre design This can be changed to the round top blade tip from plate 4 if desired
The textured handle can be enhanced with a marker pen for added visual appeal
PETG is recommended for the blade Silk finishes are too fragile and prone to damage
A standard lightsabre is also under development, approximately 90cm long, maintaining compatibility with the mini model
